The Green County Family YMCA is excited to announce that we will be open for business beginning Thursday, May 28th. It has been a long time and we can’t wait to see you all!
For those of you eager to resume your favorite Y activities, we ask that you observe our new hours and carefully follow our new health and safety procedures. For those of you still hesitant about being out and about at this time, please know that our reopening and reintegration plan was developed around the most up-to-date information from the Green County Health Department, CDC, and the State of Wisconsin.
To keep everyone as safe as possible through social distancing, we ask that members sign up for their workouts using an online tool called Sign Up Genius. Members may sign up for various times and various departments beginning this Sunday, the 24th at 2 pm. Follow this link to reserve your spot. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/GCY Please note, the use of Sign Up Genius is only temporary as we work through the different phases of our reopening plan.
Staff will be available at our front desk Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th from 8 am- 3 pm to answer your questions and help with signups for those who don’t have access to a computer.
Thank you for your patience and your continued support during this challenging time. We look forward to welcoming all of you back soon.

- Social Distancing:
Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from other members and staff that are not from the same household group.
We are encouraging members to wear them in common areas, but it is NOT required at this time.
- Hands washing/sanitizing:
Wash your hands before and after your activities. If it is not possible to wash your hands, use hand sanitizer.
Wipe down each piece of equipment before and after you use it, each member will get their own sanitizing bottle.
Limit the items and equipment you touch to only that which you will use.
If you have the urge to cough or sneeze, put on your face covering (if not wearing) and cover your nose, mouth and mask with a napkin or tissue and dispose of it in the garbage. Wash your hands thoroughly before returning to your activity.
- Gym bags:
We encourage members to come dressed for their activity. Please leave gym bags at home.

Will I be able to bring guests into the Y?
Facility use will only be for Green County Family YMCA members during our initial phases of re-opening. The Y will be unable to honor guest passes or sell day passes.
Can I utilize my Nationwide membership?
Our Nationwide membership access is currently suspended. We are also encouraging our members to call before they visit another Y, as other Ys in the region likely have similar policies.
Are my children allowed in the facility?
Within Phase 1, we will only allow access to members 16 and up without an adult. If child is 15 and under, they will need to have an adult with them at all times.
When will the Y go back to their regular hours and services?
The answer to this question is truly unknown. We hope we can expand hours over the summer assuming our community continues to see a low spread of the virus. Increasing hours, staff and services will be added as use of the Y increases and resources allow.
Where do I put my personal belongings?
Locker rooms will be available. We will have certain lockers available for use. This will allow staff to clean the used lockers between sessions.
What if I want to extend my hold after the Y reopens?
- We understand that you may not be ready to restart your membership when the Y reopens. We would be happy to place your account on hold for up to six months at no charge.
- Vending machines will be temporarily closed for use.
- Water fountains will be closed; however water refill stations will be available.
- Towels will not be available at this time. We encourage you to bring one from home.
