Green County has been labeled a “child care desert” with a 35% gap in available child care (approximately 600 children).

NURTURING YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

YMCAs are one of the largest providers of child care in the United States. Access to safe and affordable child care helps parents remain in the workforce knowing their children are growing and thriving in a caring environment. The YMCA nurtures early child development by building foundational skills, fostering healthy relationships and boosting self-reliance, all in a safe and supportive environment.

PROGRAMS

• Capacity to serve up to 86 children (6 weeks old through 4K Preschool)
• 7 state-of-the-art classrooms designed to serve specific age groups
• Children enjoy both gymnastics and swimming lessons
• Direct access to a safe, licensed, outdoor play area
